Pair of carved and painted wooden Indonesian musicians, one playing a rebab, or traditional stringed instrument played with a bow, the other with a drum. Both musicians wear a gold-bordered jacket over a contrasting robe,wrapped and tucked between the folded legs, and have their hair in a top-knot surrounded by a headband. The statues are attached by two rods to a pedestal. Dimensions are: 19 1/2 inches tall with pedestal X 7 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Surface wear to paint, particularly of drummer at knee.
