Korean Silk Painting of a Scholar and Geese: Korean scholar in a yellow robe in a landscape surrounded by a boy holding a goose, a pine tree and blooming cherry tree. The scholar leans on a rock and contemplates a pair of white geese in a pond. With a red chop marks and character dedication to the left of the image. The image surrounded by a silk mat. Dimensions are: image - 40 3/4 inches tall X 14 3/8 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Not examined out of the frame bit visibly free of rips and restoration. Provenance: From the estate of Robert and Virginia Brewster. Mr. Brewster was with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and he and his family resided in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia. and Korea. Acquisitions were made from 1957 to 1980 throughout Asia.
