Pot looks to be machine carved and is made from a solid piece of soapstone; b) Small, Japanese footed dish made from horn. It has painted detail and features a bird and insects. Dimensions are: a) 2 inches tall with the handle X 4 inches wide; b) 1 inch tall X 4 3/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The soapstone pot is in good condition. The dish has some wear to the paint and gilt and has some areas of cracking from age to the horn. Provenance: From a multi-generational French -American family collection.
