Meiji era fishing creel baskets, made of woven bamboo strips with carved wooden fixtures and bases with carrying cords. The baskets are pouch shaped, with the top removable as a lid. Dimensions are: largest - 13 inches high X 10 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Bamboo is darkened with age; the wooden bases show surface wear, including some chipping, abrasions, and peeling (of lacquer, in case of smallest basket).
