Pair of Japanese bronze incense burners or 3-piece urns from the Meiji Period. Large case bronze urns with qilin on the bodies and with separate bases depicting cloud and phoenix motif. The urns are handled and have openwork lids with birds in flight fitted into the lids. Dimensions are: 24 3/4 inches X 12 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: They have some damage including loose fittings where the birds are inset, missing birds and detail, and general areas of loss.
