释迦牟尼佛经过六年苦行在菩提树下成道。结跏趺坐在莲座上，左手置膝上，右手垂直指地，叫作“降魔指地印”或“触地印”，表明释迦在成佛前，经过无数磨难，降服了破坏修法的恶魔，终于得道，这些只有大地之神才能作证。这种形象称为“得道相”。此像高肉髻，脸微颌，面相丰满，表情深沉内省。身着袒右肩大衣，衣纹的起伏明显，富有立体感，胸部露出内束的裙腰，比例匀称，动态舒展。结跏趺坐于仰覆连台座上。莲瓣呈宝妆纹饰，富丽堂皇。此像的工艺朴素大方，雄浑有力，是一件明代的代表性佛像。
