Contemporary straight-grain morocco, tooled in gilt, spine in five compartments with gilt lettering to the second and fourth (bumped to extremities). Note: first published anonymously in 1827, this story is the biography of a gold-headed cane that was once owned by John Radcliffe, Richard Mead, Anthony Askew, William Pitcairn and Matthew Baillie - all of them British physicians, as was the author himself.Buyer’s Premium 24.5% (including VAT @ 0%) of the hammer price.
