题识：山川浑厚，草木华滋。石谷临巨然真迹在吾里林氏，兹背仿之。赵叔孺。
钤印：赵叔孺长年大吉又日利 《乔松平远》为赵叔孺临王翚1664年所作《仿巨然笔意》，王作曾经吴湖帆、王季迁鉴藏，由吴湖帆书诗塘及题签，今藏于普林斯顿大学艺术博物馆。赵叔孺是幅布景大致依原作，近景处山崖略作变化，更强调水面之平远，全画皴法细密，浓淡层次分明，以淡墨、淡赭敷色，兼具苍厚与清润，确有石谷之韵味。
