筒呈六方形，六角出足，施珊瑚红地釉，六面开光，三面绘山水图，三面书乾隆御题诗文，开光内以粉彩绘婴戏图，童子生动活泼，场面吉庆热烈；其外间饰缠枝莲纹样，隐喻“连生子”。整器形制规整，胎骨细密，绘画细腻，工笔老道，颜色浓淡有致，层次分明。器底矾红书“大清乾隆年制”篆书款。珊瑚红与矾红都是以铁为着色剂的低温红釉，始于清代康熙年间，雍正、乾隆较盛。是将红釉吹在白釉上，烧成后釉色均匀、光润，能与天然珊蝴媲美，故名。因其呈色红中闪黄，与珊瑚颜色相似，故名。以吹釉法施彩，施釉薄而细匀，色调沉着含蓄，光润艳美。清代康熙朝开始，除生产一色的珊瑚红盘、碗、瓶外，还用作地色，有珊瑚红五彩、珊瑚红地描金、珊瑚红地粉彩、珊瑚红地盖雪等品种。
