此炉造型仿商周时期青铜簋之样式，器身敞口、束颈、圆腹，口沿酱釉，下承圈足。颈部立体圆雕双兽耳，威武昂扬，气度从容。薄胎厚釉，釉色青中泛绿，釉质厚润如凝脂，宝光内敛。其炉身刚柔相济，充满张力的曲线比例，古奥神秘却又简洁之至而不失点睛之笔的兽耳，无不体现出仿古器庄严中正，规整。
