本品为清代官窑的传统品种，乾隆朝始烧，后朝沿袭。形仿上古良渚文化玉琮而有所简化，圆口，短颈，方体，两侧饰象首耳，因其器形方正，饰有象耳，故有「太平有象」之吉祥寓意，整器通体施祭蓝釉，釉色深沈，色如蓝宝石，与庄重的器形相配，显得沈静而肃穆，器底书六字二行楷书款「大清道光年制」。
