笔筒竹制，直口，口沿上端浮雕苍松，中部浮雕四人戏玩蹴鞠之景。旁有怪石嶙峋，老松虬曲，松针团簇。四人两两相对蹴鞠，左脚勾起将之踢向对方。右边一人沈着应对，敛袖抬足，接应来物。身后两人神态轻松，围观对局。蹴鞠是古代的足球，起源甚早，自先秦就有记载。明代《太平清话》中云：「踏鞠始于轩后，军中练武之剧，以革为元囊，实以毛发」。全器纹饰雕刻刀法流畅，置于案头，意趣盎然。
