器形硕大，铜质精良，入手沉重。狮子呈回首状，双目圆瞪，开口露齿，四肢健硕，尾部及腿际鬃毛飘展，运刀细腻，丝丝必现。背驮一胡人屈腿而坐，手持宝瓶，似高歌起舞，深目高鼻，头戴如意云顶帽，身着胡服，脚踏长靴，为典型西域少数民族相貌及装扮。香熏分体铸造，以胡人执瓶为盖，青狮腹部中空为炉身，可承香料，与嘴相通，燃香之气亦可由狮嘴而出，设计巧妙，且原件未失，极为难得。以胡人形象入工艺品装饰始于唐而盛于唐，其后减少，及至明代中晚期，随着中外贸易往来的复苏，工艺品中又出现了胡人形象，万历官窑瓷器中，尝见有八蛮进宝纹饰。胡人献宝为中国封建社会繁荣昌盛、万邦来朝的现实反应，寓意国力强盛、天下太平。参阅：中国嘉德国际拍卖2018秋拍
