清王朝是以“马上取天下”的王朝，宝剑在清代的武备中占据着举足轻重的地位，宝剑不仅作为战场上的兵器，也是官员身份等级和指挥权的标志，此件宝剑铜鎏金錾刻剑饰，皆为夔龙纹饰，展现皇家威仪，剑鞘黄底珐琅彩缠枝莲纹装饰，剑体细韧挺括，钢质有云水状纹理，十分美观，铸造工艺精湛，剑末镌刻有“顺治年制”“清宫造办处”印记。
