A Worcester high-footed sauceboat and a Worcester leaf dishCirca 1755 and 1757The sauceboat of 'silver' shape with pronounced thumbrest to handle, embossed with rococo scrollwork cartouches painted in coloured enamels with birds in foliage, 19.5cm long, the dish printed in black with three butterflies within green enamelled rim, 18cm (2)注脚These Hancock prints of butterflies derive their inspiration from Chelsea, and before that, Meissen prototypes. A similar dish was sold in The Zorensky Collection in our New Bond St rooms, 23 February 2005, lot 247.
