(For plaque inscription, please visit bonhams.com)注脚Silver plaque engraved 'Presented to Andrew Gemmill, Writer, Glasgow, by the Scottish Heritable Purchasing Society in testimony of the high estimation in which he is held for the zealous and able manner with which he extricated the affairs of the Society from the embarrassment in which they were involved at the date of his election to the office of Clerk to the Society and the valuable service rendered by him bringing the affairs of the Society to a satisfactory condition, 25th April 1837'.
