A large, Chinese, porcelain vase of baluster form with a waisted neck and wide flared rim , copper-red handles set at the neck, and large painted scenes: - a man with a mule greeting an elder under a palm and flowering tree with a pair of children looking on from inside and a small spray of flowers at the neck above - an open mouthed baby bird under pink and pale yellow & green peonies with a large stone and various flowers surrounding, seal script characters in black & red at the neck above H: 23 3/4" (60.3cm) Condition: Minor imperfections to the rim before the glaze was applied, & a hole drilled in the base, with no crack or repairs.
