'Egg Shells' : Two copies of a WWI in-house journal or magazine associated with the warship H.M.S. Achilles. The copies featured are Vol. 2 No.1 which may have been printed on board ship and Vol.2 No.2 printed at the Westminster Press - Naval Printers & Publishers. There is no indication of date except perhaps 1917 for No.1 where the date features as part of a front page cartoon. The illustration on No.2 resembles a reasonably accomplished etching. Contents feature mainly humorous articles often employing on-board jargon and others featuring oblique political content - "Buy War Bonds £1 ..... On Two Bob a Day!!" Very scarce.

CONDITION REPORT:
The magazines have at one point been folded vertically. The covers are a little marked but generally clean, Contents generally clean and bright. Pages held by central staples which have rusted.
