A late George III mahogany octagonal sewing table satinwood cross banded and strung with box wood and ebony, the hinged top inlaid with central oval marquetry shell, burr maple and paper lined interior, raised on slightly splayed square legs with united by a platform stretcherwidth 39 cm., depth 31 cm., height 68 cm.Condition: Hinged lid slightly bowed, slight loss to decorative border beneath keyhole. Later Patent 4 lever Lock present, but missing catch. Over all good condition with surface wear and very minor losses commensurate with age and use
