A matched set of four George III silver cauldron salts,one pair London, 1776 by George Smith,the other pair, London, 1777 by Thomas Shepherd gadrooned rims, the bodies embossed with floral swags raised on legs with stepped pad feet, gilt interiors, crested (4)diameter at rim 6 cm., height 3.5 cm., weight approx. 6.17ozt. Condition: Gilt worn to interiors legs of two slight pushing well, one salt sit at a slight angle, occasional dings and age commensurate surface wear
