One early 20th century Russian icon of Mary and Jesus. Overlaid with a silver gilt oklad with cloisonne enamel accents. Cloisonne halos in blue, turquoise, green, red, and white, as well as a champleve nameplate. Impressed with an 84 Kokoshnik assayer's mark. There are two impressed Cyrillic maker's marks: "SG" and "EA." The SG mark dates from 189(6-9)-1908. The EA maker's mark has been alternately attributed to Ivan Andreyvich Ado (Kazan 1899-1916) and Ivan Alexey/Alekseev (1899-1908). Additionally impressed with one unidentifiable round hallmark.
