Medium density wood with a pithy, softer core encrusted, layered, now blackened, surface with extensive traces of white on face.Condition: very fine with expected loss and wear commensurate with age.Provenance: bart family collection, nyc and fl, since the 1950's-60'sNote: back has very deep, bowl-like shape showing no holes for attachment.
