6th-11th century AD. A group of two bronze studs, one a human mask with omega-shaped body and pellet eyes, the other a stylised horse-head; both with mounting pin to the reverse. Recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme under reference YORYM-92CC79 and YORYM-91402F. 7.13 grams total, 14-19mm (1/2 - 3/4"). Found Stamford, near York, Yorkshire, UK, 2012; accompanied by copies of the Portable Antiquities Scheme report numbers YORYM-92CC79 and YORYM-91402F. [2]
