A bronze seal matrix formed as a square panel with D-shaped lobe to each edge, pierced lug handle to the reverse; starburst, lion rampant and crown(?) to the quadrants, inscribed band '+ S'DOMIV GOFBRANOM' and central spread-eagle motif. Accompanied by a museum-quality impression. 15.8 grams, 30mm (1 1/4"). Property of a Mayfair lady; formerly in an important London collection formed since 1965.
