Kyanite Brazil Kyanite is a unique mineral with a "proprietary" color that many collectors find irresistible. This massive natural, interconnected latticework features numerous columnar crystals of a strong blue hue. Many of the Kyanite specimens found have a dull coloration, so examples with a deep blue are rather prized and valuable. This large example has one huge benefit: it has virtually three-dimensional orientation as any face around the colossal specimen could serve as the primary display face. Several of the crystal "stalks" are bunched together further intensifying the blue color that is apparent all over this outstanding piece. The matrix holding the crystals together is a white Quartz but does exhibit some "staining" of tan color. The huge mass is presented on a custom metal stand with a spiral connector between a round disc base and a steel cup in which the large assemblage rests securely.
