Adams, in the pattern Chinese Bird, with panelled decoration depicting exotic birds surrounded by flowers, and Oriental figures in landscapes, surrounded by a blue and white mosaic pattern. Foo dog finial to lid. Marked under, 'reg. no. 623294, This pattern was introduced by William Adams in 1780, being a copy of a Chinese pattern and one of the first of its style produced in English Pottery, W.M. Adams.'
