19th Century black lacquered sewing table, with all over gilt chinoiserie decoration to the outside and inside, depicting buildings and figures in a river landscape, the hinged rounded oblong top opening to reveal and fitted interior of open and lidded compartments and lift out tray well stocked with Cantonese carved ivory fittings including bobbins and threadholders, pierced compartment covers, table mounting pin cushion etc, over a pull-out well with pleated cloth covering, two tapering turned supports with matching stretcher and four carved hairy paw feet.
