A Louis XVI palisander and specimen wood crossbanded secrétaire à abattant, last quarter 18th century, by Georges Kintz, the rectangular marble top with canted front corners and moulded edge, above a frieze drawer and a hinged fall front opening to a gilt tooled leather inset writing surface and an arrangement of drawers and small drawers, above a pair of panelled cupboard doors opening to a shelved interior, on bracket feet, stamped 'G.KINTZ' beneath the marble, 137cm high, 80cm wide, 40cm deep A commode also by Georges Kintz is currently with Galerie François Paul Belliard, Paris. It bears near identical gilt metal corner mounts.
