A French kingwood and gilt metal mounted writing table, first half 19th century, the rectangular top incorporating a tooled leather inset and an arrangement of gilt metal fitting to the rear of the top including a pen tray, pen holders, and a pair of lidded inkwells, above a frieze drawer and four gilt metal legs, the undertier with a pierced galleried edge, above downswept sabre shaped legs terminating in brass caps, 83cm high, 51.5cm wide, 30cm deep
