This is a scaled down version of the famous stone Moses by Michaelangelo at the Church of San Pietro in Rome, cast in bronze by Boshetti. One of the interesting things about this cast is Boschetti was famous in his own time and both a sculptor and a foundry owner, and the care and quality to which this classical bronze is made is evident in the fine patina, crisp detail and sharp angles.
