是书装帧极为奢华、书脊采用19世纪末流行的段式竹节装饰，内收录迪耶私藏中国历代珍贵瓷器约124件。是世界上第一部极具重量级的研究中国瓷器的古美术文献专着。于研究中国历代瓷器特别是明清瓷器的重要史料。该书中所刊载之器物大部分系迪耶捐赠之重要瓷器。本书较少露面于国内拍卖市场，甚为珍贵，品相完美。注：迪耶Grandidier（1833-1912）法国著名中国瓷器收藏家。他于1894年将自己所珍藏的3000多件中国名贵瓷器，捐献给国家，收藏于法国卢浮宫。
