A Fine 19th Century Chinese Carved Ivory Needle Case and a Puzzle Ball (A/F) on Stand. The needle-case profusely carved with birds, moths and a scrolling dragon entwined around the cylindrical body, with a screw on lid surmounted by a finial knop, 6¼" (16 cm) in length. The puzzle ball intricately carved in fine detail with rose blooms amongst a mass of entwined branches of leaves and blossom encasing seven pierced balls within, some of interior damaged, 2¼" (5.5 cm) diameter, raised on figural stand, 8¾ (22 cm) overall height.
