A LOVELY PAIR OF JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD SATSUMA VASES BY MEIZAN (YABU TSUNEO), the vases with a graduating blue / orange ground decorated in fine detail five figures in a landscape setting amongst native flora and foliage, highlighted with gilt, the neck with finely detailed butterfly decoration with twin moulded and gilt decorated handles, the bases signed in gilt to read "Yabu Tsuneo", Yabu Meizan's adopted son, 11.5cm high x 5.7cm wide.
