款识：佛家修净土以妄想入门画家亦修净土以幻境入门夫幻妄焉可用哉不知识解通明后随处皆成真实又何幻妄之非真实也。辛丑秋日笔，舜枢仁兄大人正之，叔平姚钟葆。钤印：姚钟葆印、姚叔平 作者简介：姚钟葆（？-1924），近代画家。姚钟葆能诗，善画，工山水，用笔苍劲，变化多方，其写山水私淑胡远，笔意新颖，布局精构，既而弃之，草草下笔，专主气韵。后转以甜熟病之，画不得见重，益酗酒成性，后咯血而亡。著有作品《性安庐画稿》图传世。
