“半桌”之名，见于嘉庆间纂修的《工部则例》，北京家俱匠师沿用这一名称，认为半桌相当于八仙桌的一半，当一个八仙桌不够用时，便用其来拼接，故又称“接桌”。此半桌小叶紫檀木制，全身光素，是典型的明式家俱风格。大边抹头榫卯拼接，板心采用小叶紫檀镶嵌，冰盘沿下带束腰，直腿起线，足端为内翻马蹄。四腿间安罗锅枨，以矮栳与边抹相连，起伏自然优雅。
