Description

A Masonic glass jug c.1800-20, engraved with various Masonic and religious attributes, one side with 'Bengamin [sic] & Ann', the other side with 'Kenworthy', the jug's wide rim with a blue border, 14cm high. A Benjamin Kenworthy is listed as marrying Ann Buckley in Saddleworth in 1834, and it is possible that the jug was engraved to celebrate their marriage. Kenworthy is listed on the 1841 census as working in the wool industry.
