An 18th Century style carved mahogany breakfront library bookcase after the original by William Vile made for King George III and Queen Charlotte at Buckingham House:, with an architectural moulded dentil pediment and broken cornice with egg and dart ornament, the frieze with scrolling foliage and shells and with garlands of flowerheads and foliage, the upper part with adjustable shelves enclosed by two pairs of bevelled glazed panel doors, between fluted half columns with Corinthian capitals, the lower part with a gadrooned edge, Greek key frieze, enclosed by a pair of central doors with raised scrolling acanthus leaves and cartouches, flanked by an enclosed cupboard to either side with foliate cartouche and laurel wreath ornament, the flanking pillasters with pendant fruit and flowerheads, on a plinth base with egg and dart decoration, 263cm (8ft 7 1/2in) long, 265cm (8ft 8 1/4in) high, 63cm (2ft 0 3/4in) deep.
