Carved ivory tile house shrine Japanese, late Meiji of square styled pagoda form, carved with a central compartment within which stands a Daoist figure holding a lotus flower, at her feet a ceremonial vessel on a shaped table, the compartment enclosed by double doors carved with four panels depicting seated Buddhistic figures, the shrine carved overall with lotus flowers, dragons and phoenix, the latter forming a finial, on carved wood stand 46cm high
