There is a dent to the top of the handle on the 'knuckle' which has flattened the ridge and there are some small indentations on the top of the handle with evidence of the natural seam. In general there are old marks, scuffs, wear and small indentations here and there in keeping with natural use and age. Some small indentations on edge of rim, lid and foot. Hinges are in good order. The inside has some surface texturing, old marks and a few stains. The finial on this claret jug matches the one in the Dresser drawing.
