A private collection of Chinese cricket cages and related items - a 19th century Chinese gourd cricket cage of moulded waisted form, carved with a square panel depicting a figure in a landscape, opposed by a circular panel depicting flowers & rockwork, on a hatched ground below a border of stiff leaves with a chrysanthemum head to the base, the zitan mounted ivory cover carved with various marine life including a fish, a mussel & a crayfish, with zitan collar, 4.5ins. (11.4cms.) high.
