3rd century AD. A bronze finger ring with broad plaque, inset silver ellipsoid panel with incised 'V' flanked by fronds, 'VTF' below (for VTERE FELIX 'use this with joy'"). Cf. Ruseva-Slokoska, L. Roman Jewellery, Sofia, 1991, item 182. 3.8 grams, 20mm overall, 17.46mm internal diameter (approximate size British N 1/2, USA 7, Europe 14.51, Japan 14) (3/4").
