A bronze statuette of Diana (Greek Artemis) striding forward, wearing a short chiton, himation tied at the waist and laced calf-high boots; hair drawn back into a bun on the back of the head; weight on left leg and both arms raised in front of the body; left hand would have held an attachment, possibly a bow or arrow, a precise hole on left shoulder suggests the attachment of a quiver. 69 grams, 76mm (3"). Property of a European gentleman; formerly acquired on the German art market before 1980.
