A silver tintinnabulum element presenting a curved phallus with spread wings, lion's hindlegs and tail, penis with goose-head finial, loops to the feet, wings, phallus and suspension hook; mounted on a custom-made stand. Cf. Roberts, P. Life and Death in Pompeii and Herculaneum, London, 2013, item 187. 353 grams total, 11.3cm with stand (4 1/2"). Property of a North London gentleman; formerly in a German private collection, Munich.
