Signed lower right and dated 1972. A profile view of Lincoln as presidential candidate.Lloyd Ostendorf (American, 1921-2000), noted Lincoln historian and commercial artist of Dayton, Ohio, published five important books on Lincoln including Lincoln in Photographs (1963), a compilation of every known image of the sixteenth president. His obituary in the Chicago Tribune described him as "the definitive cataloger of Lincoln."
