Lot of 2, featuring hand tinted, 2.375 x 3.5 in. tintype of a Central Plains Indian, possibly Southern Arapaho, standing in a studio setting, holding a pipe. The subject wears a feathered headdress, German silver armbands, gold tinted cross at his waist, and moccasins. His tobacco bag appears to have a section of quill-wrapped parfleche slats at the bottom of the bag, above the fringe, which is an Arapaho and Lakota feature. Housed in thermoplastic hanging frame, 3.5 x 5.375 in.Accompanied by CDV of an Iroquois woman, possibly Canandaigua Mohawk, ca 1875. With "G. Warren's Photo. Car." imprint on mount verso. This may be the G. Warren who operated in Lowell, Massachusetts.Â
