Goldener Monogrammring einer Person namens Prokopios, frühbyzantinisch, 6. Jhdt.Massiver, leicht ovaler Reif. Darauf eine dicke, kreisrunde Platte. Auf deren Oberseite ist ein Kreuzmonogramm eingraviert, das als ΠPOKOΠIOY (= Ring des Prokópios) gelesen werden kann. Das Material deutet darauf hin, dass der Ring von einer wohlhabenden Persönlichkeit getragen wurde. Spekulativ könnte man den Historiker und frühbyzantinischen Funktionär Prokópios von Caesarea in Erwägung ziehen. Möglich wäre auch der gleichnamige Stadtpräfekt von Konstantinopel, der für 561/562 erwähnt ist, oder eine andere, nur durch diesen Ring belegte Person. Der Ring besticht durch schlichte Eleganz. The famous historian and early Byzantine senator Prokópios of Caesarea was considered, but also possible is the eponymous prefect of Constantinople, who is mentioned for 561/562.
