Finest, Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Yongzheng carmine red monochrome glazed porcelain wine cup. The porcelain potted with a shallow deep body, of a shallow vessel, with a straight opening lip, raised on round slightly concave footing. All reserved masterfully covered in an even coat of a carmine red glaze. Under-glazed Red In Chinese it is called You Li Hong. Being one of the most precious varieties of Chinese glaze, it first appeared in the Yuan Dynasty with copper as its colorant. But, the firing is most difficult for copper, under high temperature, is easy to evaporate. Both fresh rend and ruby red in the Ming Dynasty were top grade glazes. The red creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the receded central interior base left white underglaze. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, and the carving. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well carved, clear, subtle, distinct, and the shape is uniformly proportioned. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a four underglaze blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double fine blue rings, Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period.
