Pair of Chinese Daoguang Immortals motif porcelain bowls. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, of a shallow vessel, broad wide cavetto, with a straight opening lip, raised on a round slightly raised concave footing. All reserved in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the DouCai design color. Doucai decoration the design is outlined in underglaze blue and filled in with overglaze colored enamels except blue. Colors which fit together but also contrasting or joined colors. Decoration in a combination of underglaze cobalt blue outlines and enamels added on top of the fired glaze, within the outlines. The exterior adorned with Eight Immortals ride a legend beast in various pursuit on the grass field below flying dragon, scrolling ruyi clouds , rocky hill and Lingzhi fungus. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a vertical six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Daoguang Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
