Chinese Qing Dynasty Guangxu blue monochrome and gilt overglazed porcelain reward vase. Porcelain potted in pear shaped bottle vase, a bottom-heavy body tapered gracefully to slender waisted tall neck, narrow on the mid neck, flaring at the mouth rim, supported on slight short spreading foot ring. All reserved in deep blue underglaze base color which contrast against the gilt fine color. The main body adorned with magpie bird hanging on the sturdy branch of abundant flowers blooms tree. The neck decorated with continuous sturdy branch tree with fresh foliage and flowers blooms. The shoulder festooned with lotus flowers blooms among scrolling interlocking tendril and Shou Chinese calligraphy on the center, enclosed with single thick gilt overglaze ring lines. The upper mouth rim decorated with repeating interlocking motif, enclosed with single thick gilt ring line. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a two vertical rows of six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Guangxu Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
