Chinese Qing Dynasty, Kangxi sgraffito douqing glazed porcelain water pot. Deep curvature, of a deep vessel, round straight upward to form the small opening rim, with small round flat foot base rim. All reserved masterfully covered in an even coat of a olive green glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white underglaze. The olive green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. Meticulous finish sgraffito scrolling cumulus clouds, and vapor surround the pot. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a horizontal six underglaze blue script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Kangxi Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
